In Ontario, hospitals typically receive annual government funding that covers 80 percent of costs. This leaves a gap that hospitals must fill to meet patient care demands and balance budgets.
To accomplish our mission of innovative health care delivered with compassion, we look to non-Ministry revenue sources to augment government funding. We rely on and are constantly looking for new business development and partnership opportunities. These may include:
- retail space (including retail food services)
- partnerships/joint ventures with suppliers of products or services
- affinity programs (e.g. valet automobile services, patient visitor accommodations)
- advertising
- real estate investments (e.g. medical office building)
- research opportunities
- consulting opportunities
- redevelopment/construction opportunities
- fundraising
- Volunteer Association (e.g. gift shop, lottery sales)
If you are interested in discussing a business development or partnership opportunity, please email us at bus.dev@williamoslerhs.ca.
Procurement process
We are committed to an open and transparent procurement process as defined by the Broader Public Sector (BPS) Procurement Directive issued by the BPS Supply Chain Secretariat, a division of the Ontario Ministry of Finance. All current and past bids for Osler can be found online at Biddingo. This service is free to the public with an option to sign up for regular procurement activity updates of Osler and its procurement partners. Our primary procurement partner is Shared Services West, a non-profit organization that uses strategic sourcing and economies of scale to drive value on behalf of its members.
