William Osler Health System (“Osler”) invites you to interact with us online, learn about our great community and be the first to know about upcoming events and announcements. We encourage our community to share their stories and engage with us. By accessing and continuing to use our website, www.williamoslerhs.ca (“Site”) and Osler's social media channels and associated sites (including without limitation Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn and YouTube, mobile versions) you agree to comply with these Terms of Use and all applicable laws.
By accessing our website you agree that you have read, understand and agree to be bound by our Terms of Use and further agree that:
- you are solely responsible for the information you post.
- information and comments posted on our Site are not considered medical advice. Please contact your physician if you have any medical questions or concerns.
- comments posted by others on our website are not the opinions of any Osler staff.
You agree to use our website responsibly and will not:
- post offensive comments or language that is threatening, obscene, profane or hateful
- defame, harass or personally attack another user
- promote unrelated organizations or events
- post material copied from other sources (unless credited)
- share private information
- participate in illegal activities
The Digital Media team at Osler moderates all comments before publishing and reserves the right to remove any comments that violate our Terms of Use. We also reserve the right to block or remove access to repeat offenders of our terms. Osler has the right to monitor the Site and to disclose any information as required by law, regulation or any other governmental order, to operate the Site or any of the services provided or to protect itself or its website users in accordance with its legal obligations.
Ownership of Content
All content on the Site and available through the service, including designs, text, graphics, pictures, video, information, applications, software, music, sound and other files, and their selection and arrangement, are the property of Osler, its users or its licensors with all rights reserved. You are granted a limited license to access and use the Site and the Site's content and to download or print a copy of any portion of the Site's content to which you have properly gained access solely for your personal, non-commercial use, provided that you keep all copyright or other proprietary notices intact.
Osler, www.williamoslerhs.ca, and other graphics, logos, photographs, videos, designs, page headers, button icons, scripts and service names are registered trademarks, trademarks or trade dress in Canada and/or other countries. Osler's trademarks and trade dress may not be used, including as part of trademarks and/or as part of domain names, in connection with any product or service in any manner that is likely to cause confusion and may not be copied, imitated, or used, in whole or in part, without its prior written permission.
By posting user content to any part of the Site, you automatically grant, and you represent and warrant that you have the right to grant, to Osler an irrevocable, perpetual, non-exclusive, transferable, fully paid, worldwide license (with the right to sublicense) to use, copy, publicly perform, publicly display, reformat, translate, excerpt (in whole or in part) and distribute such user content for any purpose. You waive any and all claims you may now or later have in any jurisdiction to "moral rights" or equivalent rights of authorship with respect to the user content. You may remove your user content from the Site at any time. If you choose to remove your user content, the license granted above will automatically expire, however you acknowledge that Osler may retain archived copies of your user content.

Permitted Use
The Site is available for your personal, non-commercial use only. - upload, post, transmit, share, store or otherwise make available content that would constitute, encourage or provide instructions for a criminal offence, violate the rights of any party, or that would otherwise create liability or violate any municipal, provincial, federal or international law
- upload, post, transmit, share, store or otherwise make available content that, in its sole judgment, is objectionable or which restricts or inhibits any other person from using or enjoying the Site, or which may expose us or its users to any harm or liability of any type.

This is a Canadian website. Its content is intended for Ontario residents only. Privacy
Osler collects, uses, and discloses personal information only with your consent, and after identifying the purposes for which the personal information is collected, or as otherwise permitted or required by applicable law. Generally, information may be collected to improve the operation of the Site, process requests, and/or respond to feedback. We also use contact information to send periodic e-mail alerts or bulletins to subscribers who have opted to use this service.
The Site may automatically collect information including but not limited to the Internet Protocol (IP) address of your computer, your operating system, the parts of the Site you visit, the pages and images viewed, the content you post or download from the Site and your internet service provider's IP address. Such information collected is generally used to improve the Site and for Site administration purposes. Governing Law
The Terms of Use are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the laws of Canada applicable therein. You hereby attorn to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Province of Ontario.
General
Osler's failure to exercise or enforce any right or provision of these Terms of Use shall not constitute a waiver of such right or provision in that or any other instance. If any provision of these Terms of Use shall be deemed unlawful, void or for any reason unenforceable, then that provision shall be deemed severable from these Terms of Use and shall not affect the validity and enforceability of any remaining provisions.
