Over the past two years, William Osler Health System’s (Osler) dedicated staff, physicians, volunteers, and you, members of our community, have come together in incredible ways to ensure patients continue to have access to safe, compassionate care.
Throughout the pandemic, we have persevered together – rising to every challenge with dedication and resilience. We will always be profoundly grateful for the tireless commitment of our health care teams, and the unwavering support of our community, our donors, and our health system and government partners. Our shared resilience has united us and made us stronger as a local health system and as a community. You have truly helped us to be Osler Strong.
As we move forward in the face of change, Osler remains deeply committed to focusing on the future – one that’s rooted in our Vision to provide patient-inspired health care without boundaries to those we serve. This includes recovering from the pandemic and resuming the non-urgent and non-emergent surgeries and procedures that many of you have been patiently waiting for. We know that our recovery will take time, but we are here when you need us, to continue to deliver exceptional care to you and your loved ones.
Looking ahead, we are inspired by the promise of a bright future for health care in our community. We continue to work with government partners and to advance plans for the new Peel Memorial Hospital and the proposed comprehensive Cancer Care Centre in Brampton, while also focusing on the continued refurbishment and renewal of Etobicoke General Hospital. We look forward to more engagement with the community to support the planning of these important projects. On March 21, we will be re-opening the Urgent Care Centre at Peel Memorial and continuing our plans to expand it to 24/7 operations, pushing forward with services that mean so much to our community.
