Hear the latest hospital updates, including your options for care during the fall and holiday seasons
William Osler Health System (Osler) is inviting community members to participate in its next Telephone Town Hall on Wednesday, November 22, from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Participants will hear from Osler leaders about the latest hospital updates, including how Osler is preparing for the fall/winter respiratory season, and the steps people can take to support greater health and wellness through the winter season.
As always, participants will have an opportunity to provide feedback and ask questions of Osler’s leaders on the call, and submit questions through Osler’s website both before and during the event.
Hosted by Dr. Frank Martino, Osler’s President and CEO, this live event will be moderated by Hema Ramlochan-Tuitt, a member of Osler’s Patient and Family Advisory Council. They will be joined by Osler leaders including Elsa Cabral, Member of Osler’s Board of Directors; Kiki Ferrari, Chief Operating Officer; Tony Raso, Vice President, Clinical Services; Mary Jane McNally, Chief Patient Experience Officer; and Ken Mayhew, President and CEO, William Osler Health System Foundation. A special guest to the event, Dr. Dorothy Bakker, Interim Associate Dean, Undergraduate Medical Education, Toronto Metropolitan University (TMU), will also join to speak about TMU’s partnership with Osler in establishing a new School of Medicine in Brampton.
“As our organization continues on an exciting transformational journey, ongoing two-way dialogue with our community has never been more important,” said Dr. Frank Martino. “Telephone Town Halls are a valuable opportunity to connect with thousands of residents of Brampton, Etobicoke and surrounding areas, and to hear feedback, insights and ideas around our programs, services and initiatives. I encourage our community members to join the conversation, and engage with us on November 22.”
“Osler’s Telephone Town Halls are an excellent opportunity for the community to connect with Osler’s leaders and hear more about what’s happening at our local hospitals,” said Hema Ramlochan-Tuitt. “I am proud of Osler’s commitment to having open conversations with our communities, and I am honoured to be a part of this event again.”
How to participate: On Wednesday, November 22, starting at 6:50 p.m., Osler will contact residents via landline to connect them directly to Osler’s Telephone Town Hall.
