The Division of Endocrinology is seeking two full-time associate endocrinologists; one for Brampton Civic Hospital and one for Etobicoke General Hospital.
The successful candidates will join a collaborative team in delivering full-time inpatient and outpatient endocrinology care and have access to an excellent diabetes education centre with a full range of nuclear medicine resources. The endocrinologists will participate as a member of the division in providing call coverage at one of the hospital sites and provide patient follow up in their community-based practice located in the Central West Ontario Health Team catchment area. Remuneration is fee-for-service as set by the OHIP Schedule of Benefits and Fees.
Qualifications
The candidate must have a Certificate of Registration to practice from the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario and have Fellowship in Endocrinology from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. The position requires excellent communication skills in English. Additional languages are considered an asset as we serve a highly diverse population.
About the program
The Endocrinology program has a robust of resources available to provide excellent endocrinology care in hospital and in the community. We have a well-established diabetes education program and the ability to treat thyroid diseases with radioactive iodine. The Centre for Complex Diabetes Care located at Brampton Civic Hospital has a team of nurse practitioners, nurses, dieticians, and pharmacists to provide care to the most complex diabetes patients.
