Active Rehabilitation Unit

For patients who need:
  • orthopaedic rehab after, for example, hip or knee surgery
  • stroke and neurological rehabilitation
  • general rehab, after an illness, injury, or general surgery

A Reactivation/Slow Stream Rehabilitation Unit For patients over 60 years of age who need intensive rehabilitation over a longer period of time and/or those who are waiting to be transferred to a Long-Term Care facility.

Short-Term Assess and Restore (STAR) Unit For patients over 60 years of age who need short but intensive therapy program to help increase their strength and mobility before discharge.

Outpatient Rehabilitation Services

Outpatient rehabilitation, including physiotherapy, occupational therapy and speech language therapy for patients who have been discharged from hospital, but need ongoing therapy.

Speech-Language Therapy

The Speech Pathology Dysphagia Clinic provides swallowing assessment and follow-up for patients 18 years of age or older who have identified or suspected difficulty swallowing, and are at-risk of aspiration pneumonia, dehydration, and malnutrition.
