Susan DeRyk joined Osler in 2010 and has been responsible for public relations, corporate communications, and strategy development. Susan is also cross appointed to the William Osler Health System Foundation where she serves as Vice President Marketing and Communications.
Susan is a provincial and national award-winning communications professional with expertise in strategic communications, government relations and community relations. Known for her ability to shift organizational thinking and behavior to align with strategic goals to achieve objectives, Susan is able to galvanize the talents of small teams to realize enterprise-wide results.
Susan has more than 20 years of experience in the field. Among her many career highlights, she has spent time as Chief of Staff to two provincial Ministers including the Minister of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs in the aftermath of the Walkerton Crisis, as a journalist and editor at a daily newspaper and as public advocate for patient access to diagnostic testing.
Susan has a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Western Ontario and a certificate in Healthcare Leadership from the Rotman School of Management.
