Coming to a theatre near you: Osler's Dr. Marc Ossip.
We always knew our ‘doc stars’ were stars in their own right but now one of them is hitting the big screen to prove it!
Dr. Marc Ossip, Chief of Diagnostic Imaging, William Osler Health System, is one of the physicians featured in our ‘Etobicoke Matters’ campaign — a fundraising campaign seeking to raise $25 million to equip the new patient tower at Etobicoke General. Dr. Ossip is one of many physicians at Etobicoke General who are going beyond for the community, helping to ensure great care is available close to home.
Between Friday, September 28 and Thursday, November 1, you’ll be able to watch Dr. Ossip speaking about what inspires and motivates him and why Etobicoke Matters, at theatres across the western GTA in Cineplex Entertainment’s pre-show.
Last year, Osler Foundation launched the ‘Etobicoke Matters’ campaign, the largest fundraising campaign in Etobicoke General’s history, to help build and equip a new 250,000 sq. ft. patient tower.
Once complete, the new addition will house high-priority services most urgently needed by the community including a larger, state-of-the-art Emergency Department, Critical Care and Intensive Care Units, a Maternal Newborn Unit, an Ambulatory Procedures Unit and Cardiorespiratory and Neurodiagnostic services.
What many people don’t know is that the community must fund 100% of the equipment within the hospital, and a portion of the construction costs. This is known as the ‘community share’.
Thanks to the generous support of many donors, Osler Foundation has raised $18 million toward the $25 million needed for the patient tower and to update existing spaces. With your help, we can raise the last $7 million and ensure patients in Etobicoke will have access to the advanced diagnostics and care they need, when and where they need them.
And there’s no better time than now to give. Until December 31, 2018, all donations made in support of Etobicoke General will be matched, dollar for dollar, by Orlando Corporation.
