Parking lot partially re-opening at Etobicoke General

by Osler Staff | Dec 16, 2016

Starting Wednesday, December 21, the North Patient and Visitor parking lot (Lot D) will be partially re-opened. The newly developed Lot D will help provide patients and visitors with easy access to all of the programs and services at Etobicoke General Hospital (EGH).

Parking Lot D: The partial re-opening will add 110 parking spots, as well as 12 accessible parking spots at EGH. Construction on the Ancillary Services Building continues on the west side of Lot D and is the reason for the partial re-opening. This work is part of Phase 2 parking changes and supports the expansion and redevelopment of EGH.

Medical Office Building (MOB) Parking Lot (Lot K): As changes to parking occur over the course of construction at EGH, the MOB parking lot will remain designated for patients and visitors because of its close proximity to services. We will continue to evaluate parking utilization and optimize allocation.

Parking Lot K: In September 2016, additional parking for patients and visitors was added to Lot K, adjacent to the Hydro Lands. If Lot D is full, patients and visitors are encouraged to park in Lot K.

Pay and display parking. To support these changes, all patient parking will be converted to “pay and display” infrastructure. The staff lot and on-call lot will remain controlled access.

Please print copies of the poster below to provide to patients and post on your units for staff, physicians and volunteers. Versions of this poster will also be installed throughout EGH.

Thank you for your patience as we work to transform Etobicoke General.
