Osler's Annual Business Plan

2016-17 was a year of change and growth as we opened the new Peel Memorial, started construction at Etobicoke General and cared for more patients than ever before. The opening of the much anticipated new Peel Memorial, and the excellent progress on the expansion of Etobicoke General, will provide greater access to much needed health care programs and services in the communities our patients call home. We began our search for a permanent President and CEO who will lead the way forward. We also evolved our relationships with health care partners throughout the Central West region to ensure we are delivering the right care in the right place. We expanded care beyond our borders by sending clinical teams to India as part of our Global Health Program. Throughout this dynamic period of change, we remain committed to ensuring these transitions are seamless and patients continue to experience the exemplary care they’ve come to expect from Osler.

As we continue to operate in the changing environment inside our organization and in our local health care system, we will continue to build on the strong foundation we’ve established by aligning our work with five evidence-based pillars – People, Service Quality, Clinical Quality, Efficiency and Growth – which align to our Strategic Directions outlined in our Strategic Plan. This approach has helped us thrive in the midst of rapidly growing patient demand and ongoing shifts in the health care sector while aligning our programs and services to ensure patients receive the care they need in the most appropriate setting.
